johnpolderman

John Polderman, an associate in the Insolvency Group, focuses his practice on bankruptcy and creditors' rights, with a particular emphasis on receiverships. Mr. Polderman has extensive experience representing receivers, assignees for the benefit of creditors, debtors and creditors. His receivership experience is broad and includes litigation of fraudulent transfers, non-dischargeability actions, and administration and liquidation of business and personal property. He also represents receivers in both business and family law cases. Mr. Polderman also maintains a niche practice of representing out-of-state and overseas purchasers in acquiring residential investment properties in the metropolitan Detroit area.

After graduating from Kalamazoo College in 2000 with a bachelors degree in political science, John moved to Beijing and taught English in China for one year. In 2003, he began a clerkship at the Findling Law Firm. Upon graduating from Wayne State Law School in 2004 and passing the bar, he joined the Findling Law Firm as an attorney.

In addition to his practice, John is actively engaged in civic and professional organizations, including Christian Legal Aid of Southeastern Michigan, where he serves on the board of directors and also provides pro bono legal counsel to indigent clients.
